What I Learned in 2013
I LOVE going to BEA. For months before I am so excited and it’s all I can talk about. Actually, I’m already planning my trip for May! YAY!
BEA is full of long lines, crappy cell reception, and people with big bags bumping into you accidentally. What you don’t hear a lot about is the friendships that are made while standing in the huge autograph lines. I count myself lucky in that I have made two lasting friendships, one for each year I have attended BEA. One of these friends gave me fantastic advice in 2013 and I listened!
She told me that I need to do 3 things:
1. Blog more often and on a schedule. NO MATTER WHAT!
2. Spotlight what I’m reading, even if it isn’t ready to be reviewed.
3. Find something to write about that’s honest.
Boy have I listened to her! It is important to blog regularly, and I was just posting whenever the mood struck me. Definitely NOT the way to run a blog! So from here on out, you will be seeing me posting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. I’ll add THOUGHTS FROM AN UNKNOWN WRITER when I am inspired post something new:)
How about you? Are you blogging on a schedule no matter what? BEST ADVICE EVER!
